The problem
Public companies are bigger and more diversified than ever; the Mag7 alone are worth over $25 trillion. Many now contain multiple businesses with completely different products, growth rates, and risk profiles. SpaceX is a launch company, a satellite internet provider, and an AI lab.
If you want exposure to the upside of any individual business, like Waymo inside Google or Optimus inside Tesla, you're forced to buy the entire parent and gain exposure to businesses you might not believe in.
Our solution
Daybreak splits tokenized equities into segments reported by the company, allowing users to trade the individual businesses inside the parent rather than the parent as a whole. If you have a thesis about a segment within a company, Daybreak lets you express it.
Buy partials
Back the products and services you actually use on a day-to-day basis.
Redeem partials
Collect an equal amount of each partial and redeem them for a proportional amount of shares at any time.
Vision
We want to create new instruments that give people the precision to buy what they believe in. We want these instruments to become assets people can eventually buy natively through their brokerage or retirement accounts. We think companies will keep getting larger, and we are going to create the financial tools to break them back down into the businesses people actually like.
Team
Srinath (CEO) — worked at the Solana Foundation directly under Raj Gokal on bringing tokenized IPOs on-chain. Before this, he worked on blockchain research, focused on cross-chain bridging as a graduate student at Duke University.
Adam (CTO) — worked as a solutions engineer at Alchemy, focused on infra optimization for external clients like Binance and Uniswap. Before this, he worked on RL for portfolio optimization and embedded neural networks at MathWorks.
