Procure Custom Robot Parts

·Launched today

Hi, we are David and Brian, the founders of RoboDepot.

Overview

Robotics teams assign their lead engineer to hunt for suppliers, which costs months of design iterations and demands expertise nobody on the team has. RoboDepot takes the bill of materials instead, handling sourcing, DFM review, quality control, and delivery.

Ask: Intros to robotics teams at pre-seed through Series A who are sourcing custom parts. Reach us at info@robodepot.com or on LinkedIn.

The problem

Robotics startups raised a record $14 billion last year, up 77%. Most of them still struggle to find the right parts.

  • The lead engineer sources components from public websites, without the manufacturing expertise, cultural context, or overseas networks the job needs. The result is expensive design iterations that run for months.

  • Hiring a supply chain manager solves it eventually, but they are scarce and costly due to high demand. When they do join, they take months to onboard and build a supplier network of their own.

Our solution

RoboDepot runs procurement end to end, so your engineers stay on the build.

  • You send your bill of materials and specs. Our agents clarify the manufacturing requirements and match each part to the right supplier in our vetted network.

  • The factory’s engineers review your design for manufacturability before production, and provide support during and after the parts are made.

  • Once the design is cleared, we place the orders, handle quality control, and ship to your door.

Vision

Humanoid robot shipments are projected to grow from about 75,000 units this year to 890,000 by 2030. Every team building those robots has to build a supply chain as it scales, with requirements that change each product iteration. RoboDepot removes that work, letting a small team of engineers source the right parts through one partner. The teams solving hard problems in robotics should be bounded by what they can design, not by what they can procure, and every month they get back is a month closer to robots that actually work in the world.
